About AFCP:

The United States Embassy in Belarus is accepting applications for the Ambassador’s Fund for Cultural Preservation (AFCP) competition. This prestigious U.S. Government program has provided direct grant support for cultural preservation projects throughout the world since 2001.

The competition is open to Belarusian non-governmental organizations, institutions of culture, museums and other establishments.  Funded activities include the restoration of historic buildings; the assessment and conservation of museum collections; the preservation of archaeological sites; the documentation and recording of threatened traditional crafts, song and dance; the improvement of storage conditions for archives and manuscripts; and the documentation of indigenous languages.

For this year’s competition, projects that will increase heritage tourism and ecotourism in Belarus will be especially encouraged.  Format instructions are included in paragraph 9 of the guidelines here.  Please send all proposals in English to the electronic address MinskAFCP@state.gov with “AFCP” in the subject line, by the deadline of December 02, 2019.  If you have any questions, please call the U.S. Embassy Public Affairs Section at +375 17 210-12-83 (5604).
