On July 30, Chargé d ’Affaires Scott Rauland met with the three young Belarusians who won Fulbright Foreign Student Program scholarships and are heading to the USA to pursue their Master’s degrees at American Universities. The Chargé remarked that Fulbright is one of the most efficient exchange programs that promote mutual understanding between the people of the United States and other countries and expressed the hope to see the group after they return to Belarus to hear about their first-hand experiences. During a lively and informal discussion, the young people shared their academic and personal plans. Scott Rauland recalled his own student years and pointed out many opportunities that the digital age had opened for researchers. The Chargé also underlined the role of social media in staying in touch with family, friends and counterparts all over the world.
