On November 1, Chargé d’affaires Robert Riley and consul Aleta Kovensky held a press conference to announce the expansion of visa services in Belarus.
Media Statement by the U.S. Embassy in Minsk, Belarus:
The Embassy of the United States in Minsk is pleased to announce the expansion of visa services in Belarus. Beginning November 1, the Embassy will accept tourist and business visa applications (B1/B2) for residents and citizens of Belarus who are age 50 and older. This is a significant reduction from the current age limit of 70. In addition, applicants of any age whose U.S. visa in any category expired less than a year ago may apply in Minsk.
The Embassy is also working to increase the capacity of the consular section and plans to further expand visa services in the near future.
